Having had over 20 letters published in The Times, I will never submit another one. I’m sure that almost nothing I have to say can’t be said better by another person — preferably one who is female. Perhaps then we could reframe the question: What could major publications, like yours, be doing to discourage women from writing? There seem to be a disproportionate amount of male editors and writers on the staff of The New York Times.
